McKee Billings knows that it isn’t enough to simply do great legal work. To be a truly excellent law firm you have to give back to the community, plain and simple. As such, McKee Billings sponsors countless sports teams, programs and community events. McKee Billings puts its money where its mouth is and has given thousands of dollars to help where it is needed.
But while giving money is a great way to support the many great causes that need help, the attorneys at McKee Billings also walk the walk. For many years Mr. McKee coached youth soccer and now coaches middle distance and distance runners on the Hall-Dale Middle and High School track teams. He’s also the past president of the Pineland Suzuki School, a non-profit classical music school that is recognized throughout the state as one of the top youth programs for children 4-18 years old in violin, viola and cello instruction. Mr. Billings coaches T-Ball as part of the Augusta Little League.

Military service is important to Mr. McKee. He served 8 years in the Maine Army National Guard, including stints with the 240th Engineering Group and the State Area Command as a JAG Officer. For his service he was awarded the Army Commendation Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, the Humanitarian Service Medal and several state medals and awards.
Mr. McKee is also the Chair of the Maine Ethics Commission. The Commission deals with the constantly controversial areas of campaign finance, election practices and legislative ethics. He takes seriously his commitment to nothing short of the most honest, unbiased and fair treatment of every single citizen, legislator and governmental official that appears before him.
